Black cat makes a strange noise on the baby monitor, the mother checks the baby and runs to the phone.

Roy and Bernita Rogers of Kansas City, Missouri, United States, had the dream of forming a large family, but unfortunately this dream seemed very difficult to come true.

After several years of marriage, they endured the loss of three premature babies, they were devastated but they could not lose hope for what they most longed for in life.

To withstand the emptiness of not being able to conceive, Bernita adopted a black kitten to give him all the love she had, needed a consolation and found him in it, same he called Midnight. This one not only became an important member of the family, it marked the beginning of something wonderful that was about to happen.

Midnight had little time to reach the family when Bernita got pregnant again. Fortunately this time things became different and in favor of the couple, Bernita received all the necessary medical attention so that everything went very well and that's how it was, after nine months she gave birth to a beautiful girl.
Bernita decided to call the baby, Stacey, fortunately she and Midnight had a great connection, the parents were convinced that they would become great friends, the kitten became the protector of the baby.

On one occasion the baby showed signs of not feeling well, so the parents took her to the doctor, who assured them that it was only a cold and there was nothing to worry about.

When they got home, they laid the baby in her crib and put the monitor near her in case she cried, Midnight was nearby.

A few minutes later, when they were on the first floor, they heard a heartbreaking and very unusual cry on the monitor.

"It was a terrible scream, a terrifying scream that made us jump from the chairs and run up to the top," said the mother.

When they arrived at Stacey's room they realized that she was struggling to breathe, her skin had begun to turn blue and she was taken to the emergency room quickly, there they were told that she had suffered from total respiratory failure.

With treatment he was able to recover little by little, the doctors assured that if they had not realized in time, the consequences would have been fatal. Fortunately Midnight alerted them in time, and although many people tend to get away from them because they think they are bad omen, this pussycat is amazing and a hero.

Sometimes we forget that cats feel things that we do not. Midnight stays close when someone in the family feels bad or discouraged, leans on his chest, touches his face gently and looks with love, it's a charm!


Many think that cats are selfish beings and hermits, unable to give love but this can not be further from reality, the pussycat are very intelligent and loving, this story proves it.

Fortunately, this family has Midnight.
