When cyclist Ozgur Nevres left for a routine training session near his home in Turkey late last month, he never thought he would end up saving a life. He found a kitten that seemed to have been abandoned and had the cutest gesture with her.
Ozgur's plan was to go to the airport and then return to the campus of the Bosphorus University where he works.
About 30 miles from his bicycle ride, near the airport, Ozgur stopped for a moment to see some planes passing by. That was when he heard the sound of an animal in distress. The little creature had clearly been desperate for someone to appear.
Ozgur wrote in his blog:
"When I arrived at the airport, which is about 50 km from my house, I stopped to take pictures of the planes landing."

As soon as the little girl noticed it, she ran to him, crying for help.
Ozgur wrote:
"I looked around and saw an adorable tabby kitten running towards me, crying. She was about 4 weeks old and looked very hungry. "
Considering that the kitten was "in the middle of nowhere," Ozgur knew that the chances of her surviving were slim if he left her alone.
He wrote:
"She was crying for help ... I decided to take her to the Bosphorus University where I work. But I was not sure if I could do that. She could try to escape. I could even jump while I'm in traffic! "

"I could not leave her there. I put it on my shirt, and then I started pedaling slowly. "

Apparently, the kitten knew that Ozgur was taking her somewhere safe.
He wrote:
"Surprisingly, she did not get scared. He even enjoyed the trip !. He pulled his head out of my shirt and started looking around. "
The kitten seemed very happy and did not cry during the whole trip. When he returned to the campus, he stopped to give him some food, water and a safe place to spend the night, but it did not end there.

This man with a good heart did more than just rescue her from that isolated place. He helped change his life forever.
Ozgur did his best to find him a home forever.

"The next day, I announced on the pet adoption website that I was looking for a loving family for her. In a few hours, I received a phone call. In short, this adorable little kitten now has a loving family. "
Thanks to Ozgur, Milia, as she is now called the kitten, is safe and sound.

This is not the first time he comes to the rescue of a needy animal. Ozgur has rescued numerous stray cats and cats that needed help.
He added:
"Rescuing kittens is like my second job. I see that almost all animals are fighting on Earth and I try to do something for them as much as possible. In this particular case, I am very happy because Milia is now with a loving family. "
